Reason for choice of the various constituents :
Because, if they are essential to almost all carbohydrate metabolism and thus the proper functioning of the brain, they are also essential to protein metabolism and thus the proper conduct of the entire immune response, whether humoral or cellular, which should include a the shortest time possible numerous protein synthesis.
Vitamin A acts by stimulating the synthesis of RNA messenger and thus acts on the cellular growth. In association with zinc it plays an essential role in immune activity.Vitamin E or dl. alpha tocopherol
The vitamin E plays a role in the answer at humoral mediation since the response to mitogens has been connected to its activity. The vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol
Is essential for activation of immune system cells, because it enables the assimilation of calcium and it is then the entry of calcium and it is then the entry of calcium into cells which will be the detonator of all effector cell responses. The vitamin C or ascorbic acid
Play naturally a role in the antibacterial defenses, by increasing the mobility of white blood cells and by protecting their membranes against the oxidative damage, but also in the antiviral defenses by increasing the synthesis of the interferon.
It plays a preponderant role in :
• the metabolism of nucleic acids (RNA and DNA)
• replication and transcription of the DNA is zinc-dependent.
The Zinc is essential for the metabolism of protein and without zinc any growth is stopped.
The Zinc plays a role in the proliferation, maturation and differentiation lymphocytic and the thymulin is directly zinc-dependent.
Selenium is involved in regulating the immune system at all levels :
• Humoral immunity: resistance to the extracellular pathogens organism is directly influenced by the consumption of selenium.
• Cellular immunity: the selenium deficiency alters the ability of T and B lymphocytes to respond to mitogens and to produce lymphokines:.
• Nonspecific immunity: first line of defense. Selenium deficiency causes a decreased production of chemotactic factors by polynuclear neutrophils.
During a viral infection we observe a drop of the chromium in the blood rate. A refill in chromium can thus allow to fight better against this type of infection.Manganse
Because it was shown that the manganese intervenes in the synthesis of antibodies. The Molybdenum
Catalysis at the enterocyte level, oxidative incorporation of iron on transferrin. It plays a role in the mobilization of iron and its reserves.
The copper intervenes in iron metabolism, allowing the release and the passage of the iron of duodenum in plasma, the reticuloendothelial system.
The ceruloplasmin, oxidizes the ferrous iron to ferric iron. This action of ceruloplasmin ferroxidase is very important for the binding of iron by transferrin and therefore for its transport and its storage. The choline
It's necessary for the synthesis of nucleic acids DNA and RNA and therefore essential, also, to the cellular proliferation of immune response.
As was seen with vitamin D, the passage of the calcium in intracellular is the detonator of the effector function of immune system cells..
For its immuno-stimulant action which manifested by an increase of the chemotaxis of macrophages and polynuclear, by an increase in phagocytosis by macrophages and therefore a better presentation of antigens after their "processing", so by an optimization of the lymphocytic response.
But Ginseng is especially recommended for its specific action on cell stimulation " Natural killers".
Finally the echinacea that acts synergistically with ginseng to enhance the effectiveness of macrophages, make them produce in bigger quantities l'Il1, l'Il 10 , the alpha TNF, alpha and beta interferon and to increase the number and effectiveness of N.K. cells but especially because, more specifically echinacea, increases the production of antibodies, thus the humoral mediation immunity, and antibody-dependent cytotoxicity (ADCC).
